A lovely surprise to stay a little longer. If availability allows, extending your stay is a great option. We look forward to it!

Those who book first enjoy more convenient parking. There are 18 underground parking spaces available, along with additional free outdoor parking options for the duration of your stay.
Electrifying travel in the Bregenzerwald?
Perfect! Our electric car charging station in the underground garage ensures that your set destinations are reached.
Bicycle storage. Is my bike well and safely stored?
Secure storage rooms for bicycles are available in each building. Bikes can be cleaned, repaired, and lubricated in the "Tenn." Cleaning supplies and tools are provided.
Is it possible to arrive using public transportation in an environmentally friendly way?
From the state capital Bregenz, public buses run primarily every hour from the train station, as well as from the Dornbirn train station, directly to the town center of Egg. From there, the public bus service is less frequent but equally environmentally friendly and comfortable, taking you to Schetteregg. Please inquire about environmentally friendly travel options when making your reservation, and we will help you find the best connection.
Bike rental available at Fuchsegg?
At the Fuchsegg-Simplon rental, you will find a high-quality selection of trendy Simplon e-bikes. The rental fee for a Simplon e-bike is €50. We also have suitable bicycles for younger guests, and bicycle helmets are available as well. Your safety is our priority.
Culinary experiences at Fuchsegg and culinary freedoms in the neighborhood. Is my intuition correct?
Our house guests with half board can look forward to a delightful breakfast... sourced from here... and a 3-course dinner menu. The fragrant tea bar in the sauna house is available for anyone who wishes to enjoy it—depending on your cravings. Culinary freedom begins with a two-minute walk, leading to our hospitable neighbors: Schetteregger Hof, Amagmach, and in winter, s’Lifthus. During the summer months, it’s hard to resist the delicious offerings at KOSTbar, nestled in the nearby Alps.
The range of “tasteful” spots in Bregenzerwald is extensive, and we are happy to recommend our favorite local hosts, guesthouses, mountain huts, and Michelin-starred restaurants.
What is the elevation of the Fuchsegg Eco Lodge?
The Fuchsegg Eco Lodge is situated at an elevation of 1,060 meters above sea level, making it an ideal starting point to explore the gentle yet mountainous, and always beautiful hiking and skiing area.
Are dogs allowed?
Your four-legged friend is welcome at Fuchsegg. We have designated three living spaces that are ideal for both humans and pets in terms of location and amenities. Please be considerate and understand that dogs are not allowed in the wellness area, including the sauna and mountain pool. During breakfast, your pet can rest quietly in the private living space. The fee of €25.00 per day will be charged.
Where is the Fuchsegg Eco Lodge located?
The Fuchsegg is located in the market town of Egg in the Amagmach district. The municipality is situated in the federal state of Vorarlberg in western Austria.
Sledge and bob sleds, can I rent those on-site?
We are happy to provide sledges, bobsleds, child seats for sleds, and warming seat pads for the little ones free of charge. We are prepared to meet the needs of our younger guests.
Ski Storage: Are my skis and recreational equipment securely stored?
Each room unit is assigned its own large, modern locker, featuring a built-in boot dryer. Conveniently accessible on the lower floor of each building.
Is it possible to purchase ski passes directly at the reception?
You can purchase tickets at the valley station of the Schetteregg ski lift!
Unfortunately, we cannot store the entire range of available ski passes at the reception, as the selection is too vast. However, the valley station of the Schetteregg ski lift is just a short walk away, where you can buy your ski passes!
Is a children's ski pass required for the Schetteregg children's area?
Little skiers do not need a ski pass to use the two conveyor belts and the ski carousel in the Schettifuchs children's area.
Is it possible to rent skis in Schetteregg?
Hannes Waldner and his team can be found directly at the valley station in Schetteregg. They are happy to assist you with ski rentals, mounting and adjusting bindings, waxing skis, sharpening edges, and more. You can also find all the essentials for your skiing enjoyment well-organized in his shop on-site.
Is there a ski school on-site? Are private lessons offered?
The Schetteregg Ski School has its office directly at the valley station of the chairlift next to the ski rental. Various courses are available for both adults and children, for professionals and those who want to become one, as well as for snowboarders. These can be easily booked online or on-site. Of course, private lessons for both adults and children are also available. We are happy to make the necessary connections for you.
Snow reliability in Schetteregg. Good question.
We have no influence over the weather, and that's probably for the best. Traditional advice like being good and finishing your plate unfortunately has limited effect. The family ski area of Schetteregg supports Frau Holle with a snowmaking system.
Clear invoices, good friends
To secure your booking, a deposit of 30% is required. You can conveniently pay the final bill at checkout using an EC card, cash, or credit card.
On quiet soles. Even the footwear aligns with nature!
The Fuchsegg Eco Lodge is a six-part building ensemble nestled in the natural surroundings of Schetteregg. The pathways between the houses are outdoors and shaped by nature itself—drenched from the thunderstorm rain, glowing in the morning sun, and crunching through the fresh snow of the previous night. We have created space in the Gasthouse for exchanging good footwear for fine shoes or favorite slippers.
And if I want to eat or have breakfast outside on the terrace?
Our Fuchsegg is beautifully situated in the mountains. The mornings are fresh, and the evenings quickly become cooler. However, when the temperatures are inviting, we are happy to serve on the terrace. Whether it's just an aperitif or a sweet dessert, a cozy wool blanket is already ready for you.
But I would like to have a balcony. Why doesn't my room have a balcony?
Usually, balconies are very narrow or just a small corner. During the planning for the Fuchsegg Eco Lodge, we weren't convinced by the idea of balconies. We prioritize spaciousness, openness, and room to breathe. Therefore, we opted for cozy and sheltered private living indoors, allowing the outdoors to have the space it deserves. Our charming garden, expansive sunbathing areas, and generously covered verandas in the sauna house and guesthouse are our favorite communal spots.
Are there any accommodations with a balcony or terrace?
Our ground-level Flux chalets and apartments feature spacious, covered veranda seating areas. In the Bregenzerwald, we call this protected outdoor space a "Schopf."
The Fuchsegg is essentially nature within nature. What does that mean for me?
This means healthy, natural materials that feel good. It means handcrafted artworks with stories and people behind them. It signifies life, movement, and change. The dark wooden branch is perfectly imperfect, sitting in the line of sight. The wooden façade will turn gray with age. Wood, stone, and clay are alive and develop a patina with personality. Stains on the soaped maple tables fade over time, almost by themselves. The ecological, waxed clay-casein floor is irregularly speckled in white. Fascinating craftsmanship, indeed. Let’s give time the right to change and appreciate the craftsmanship and materials we find in nature.
Is there a good connection at Fuchsegg?
Wifi is available throughout the Fuchsegg. You will receive the password upon your arrival at the reception, or feel free to ask for it. This way, you can share your wonderful getaway at Fuchsegg with your loved ones at any time.
I would like to book a massage for relaxation. Is that possible?
Yes, of course!
Please register your massage request with our staff at the reception. You can contact us via email at: hallo@fuchsegg.at or by phone at 0043 5512 44544.
