Time for inspiration

Reading time

Our library complete with a fireplace and lounge, offers the necessary space and openness for relaxation. In the Bregenzerwälder dialect, "Brüge" refers to the space above, a resting place in the hay, a retreat. It was once a personal haven where one could enjoy the limited leisure time. Today, we wish you cozy moments with a good book—whether it’s quality time together or a personal escape. The warm glow of the fireplace adds to the experience. Countless books await your reading time on the shelves.

Forest bathing

The Japanese trend of "forest bathing" as a therapeutic practice speaks more directly in our BregenzerWÄLDER: Come to rest, recharge, and find your energy. You, here and now. A walk in the forest feels rejuvenating. The tranquility, the fresh air, the chirping of birds, the rustling of the wind in the treetops, the nature's colors in every imaginable shade of green, and the earthy scent of the forest floor after rain. For your feet: Mindfully barefoot, stepping gently on the moss.

Picnic

Simplicity at its finest: enjoy the beauty of untouched nature, savor a selection of your favorite treats, and indulge in a refreshing beverage. For many, picnicking may seem like a distant childhood memory, but it’s a true delight that deserves a revival! There's nothing quite like enjoying a meal outdoors, where the flavors come alive in the fresh air. After a leisurely walk, appetites soar, making each bite a true pleasure. To top it off, a nap in the warm afternoon sun serves as the perfect digestif, enhancing the overall experience.

Mushrooms, Blueberries, Herbs, and More

Just like in the past, but infinitely more valuable today. Mindfulness is essential when embarking on a culinary treasure hunt in the Bregenzerwald. This means being attentive to nature and its living beings, ensuring that future generations can also enjoy handpicked blueberries, fragrant wild herbs, and flavorful forest mushrooms. Less is more; culinary highlights are defined not by quantity, but by the richness of flavor.

Gorges and Ravines, Waterfalls and Streams

Water is always a place of attraction. It often carries something magical – at times even mystical.
Unstoppably, it carves its way through the gorges and ravines of the Bregenzerwald, crashes thunderously over waterfalls, and eventually comes to rest, calm and graceful, in Lake Constance. Its quality and purity are precious.

Bathing in the river Ache comes with that unmistakable “brrr – cold” goosebump moment – and the little stone figures carefully stacked on the shore.
